Hosted by the Black Bookstore Coalition, and led by LaTasha Kelly of Left On Read bookstore in Wichita, Kansas, the inaugural Black Bookstore Day will take place on Saturday, August 29th.
Black Bookstore Day will be observed on the last Saturday of every August, creating a consistent moment each year to amplify Black-owned bookstores and celebrate the stories, communities, and cultural memory they protect.
